PARACHUTE PACKING &
DEPLOYMENT WORKSHOP
MOYES FACTORY, SUNDAY, 1st FEBRUARY,
2pm. Angelo Crapanzano, known
universally as Mr Parachutes because of the reputation as a parachute
manufacturer in Italy, has been visiting Oz for the comps down at HAY,
and Chris Fogg has invited him, and with the kind cooperation and
permission of Vicki and the Boys, to conduct a parachute packing and
deployment workshop at the Moyes Factory, 1144 Botany Road, Botany, on
Sunday arvo, 1st February, starting at about 2pm.
All are invited to be there, to participate in the
discussions and
demonstrations, which will be filmed and edited onto CDs or DVDs for
distribution to our Clubs for training purposes. Details have yet to be
finalised, but the more cameras the better. It should be a memorable
occasion and one we ought to try not to miss.
Parking next door. Refreshments.
Could you please alert all your Club members
Hope to see you there.
Chris has brought up the following suggestions for Sunday, 1st Feb,
2pm, Moyes Factory.
Begin forwarded message:
> Further thoughts. If we get the other clubs together through this
> event we should present the concept that we have previously spoken
> about and gain some momentum toward a combined club executive
meeting.
> I would appreciate some info on who is who from the other clubs and
> who is likely to attend.
> Should we knock up some name tags to identify the flyer with the
club
> they are members of? May provide a conversation opener for those
> unfamiliar with other faces.Definitely we should have a register
there
> to provide follow-up communications after the event.
> It would be great if we could get some media coverage too - any one
> you know that can write a story on this?
> I intend to bring membership forms and sign some of the pilots that
> fly Stanwell but have not become members of the club. I would also
> like to offer a short speech on the progress and need for the
> membership at Stanwell.
> I think it provides an opportunity to provide a regional update to
> others, perhaps each club could provide five minutes in speaking on
> their relevant issues.
> Site guides is existent would be good to swap.
> Chris Boyce has indicated that he would be keen to participate in
one
> on one instruction for deployment
> Mark Mitsos says the same for paraglider deployments
> I guess the promise of presence will depend on the fortune of the
> weather on the day - income being always the focus for these
> businesses.
>
> Please let me know your thoughts
